Barter

Barter’s ultimate goal is to bring a sustainable arts venue and cocktail bar to Hamtramck.  We are more than a bar—our new model for sustainable space usage will allow artists to “barter” for rehearsal space during off-hours, while meeting demand for music, entertainment and drinks at night. While many arts venues have struggled due to ongoing reliance on non-profit status and gifts, we will create a self-funding entity that allows local musicians and artists of all types access to spaces and audiences to further their crafts. From bartending to technical support, artists can join our community in exchange for venue access.
