NICK GORGA, FOUNDER
I moved back home to Detroit after 7 years in Chicago in order to do my part to revitalize the city and the region I love. During the day I am a lawyer at Honigman, where I also serve as the hiring partner (trying to attract and retain talent in Michigan) and co-chair of the pro bono committee (trying to make sure all our lawyers give back to those most in need). At night I relax by chugging coffee and spending five hours trying to figure out how to Hatch businesses.
VITTORIA KATANSKI , EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Vittoria is the Executive Director of Hatch Detroit. She has spent the majority of her career and personal life working on positive projects in the City of the Detroit. Using a combination of her background in Marketing and Urban Planning she has been able to provide unique ways to move the city forward through the creation of targeted neighborhood marketing efforts, and creation of area specific events. She is a resident of the City of Detroit, and believes the City to be one of the best places to live and raise a family. She resides in West Village with her husband, son and three dogs. She is a runner, a rower with the Detroit Boat Club Crew, and cures her own meats.
TAQEE VERNON, COMMUNITY OUTREACH COORDINATOR
Taqee is our Director of Alumni & Community Outreach. He is a graduate of the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he studied Business Administration. He has an extensive knowledge of Sales and Brand Management concepts, which he sharpened to the benefit of student organizations and local businesses alike, believing that they would benefit most from access to his consulting.
He went on to join Ford Motor Company’s Marketing, Sales & Service Division in Houston, TX. Taqee joins our team after moving back home to Detroit to participate in its revitalization efforts, for which he believes local businesses play a key role. He hopes to create an environment of ongoing learning, mentoring and support among Hatch Contest Alumni and the Detroit business community.
KAYLA GODBEE, MARKETING COORDINATOR
Kayla Godbee is Hatch Detroit’s Marketing Coordinator. She is an Alumni of Michigan State University’s College of Social Science. Kayla has experience in radio production , event planning and social media networking that allows her to help promote Hatch Alumni in the most positive and trending light.
Kayla was most recently Senior Producer at 910 AM Superstation and did a great deal of live production and remote radio broadcasting. The social media networking and production work allowed Kayla to be a part of a team that grew the stations following, so much that within six months 910 was listed in the Neilson ratings. As a native Detroiter and product of Detroit Public Schools, she looks forward to empowering local businesses in the community she knows and loves.
