  DETROIT, Mich. (Aug. 13, 2015) – The top 10 semi-finalists in the Comerica Hatch Detroit Contest presented by Opportunity Detroit were announced today at the One Woodward Building in Detroit. 2014 winner Sister Pie opens in West Village April 24 DETROIT– The Comerica Hatch Detroit Contest returns for its fifth year and will begin accepting applications on Friday, May 1. Entrepreneurs with a retail concept must submit their business plan for a chance at winning a $50,000 cash prize provided by Comerica Bank. In addition to the $50,000 cash prize, the winner will also receive a package of services including legal, marketing and advertising, accounting, public relations and IT support from Hatch Detroit and its partners. New spot grant funding through Detroit Lions awarded to six Hatch Detroit Alumni businesses

DETROIT/November 12, 2014 - In an expansion of the Hatch Detroit Alumni Program, six Hatch alumni businesses have been awarded grants to improve their business or get closer to opening their brick and mortar storefront. “We believe strongly in all of the businesses who have competed in the Contest,” says Vittoria Katanski, Executive Director of Hatch Detroit. “This funding from the Detroit Lions will give them the support they deserve as they work to open their doors or advance their business.” These grants have become available through the Detroit Lions in an extension of the Hatch Detroit Alumni Program.
