Detroit's wine lovers may be battling one serious hangover come summer. Another wine bar, shop, and community event space called The Royce Detroit has officially found a home in The Kales Building. Owned by Angela Rutherford and Ping Ho, The Royce Detroit first made an appearance during last summer's Comerica Hatch Detroit competition, where they were finalists in the running for the $50,000 grand prize. A representative for the shop tells Eater that Ho and Rutherford have submitted an application to the most recent round of the Motor City Match programto assist with funding for the buildout.
