Comerica increases commitment, contest expands in search of next Detroit retail business DETROIT/April 27, 2016 – Comerica Bank and Hatch Detroit announced the return of The Comerica Hatch Detroit Contest. The 2016 contest will include an expanded benefits package for the $50,000 grand prize winner as well as additional support for entrepreneurs and Hatch Alumni. It's been a busy few years for the Batch Brewing crew. After winning the Comerica Hatch Detroit Contest in 2013 and building Detroit's first nanobrewery to wild acclaim, they're starting a new venture. Drinking beer makes you feel good. Giving to charity while drinking beer feels even better. Enter: Batch Brewing Company's Feelgood Tap Program, a new 501c3 nonprofi. What does that mean? Instead of one brewery in Detroit raising money for nonprofits one glass at a time, any bar, restaurant, brewery, or winery can feature their own Feelgood Tap special and help fund the local nonprofit community. Jan. 27, 2016--Hatch Detroit and the Detroit Lions have selected Grandmont Rosedale as the next project site in the Hatch Detroit Neighborhood Initiative, focused on serving storefront retail in Detroit. With the Detroit Lions Charities $150,000 contribution to the program, the team is bringing community-driven infrastructure improvements that will improve pedestrian friendliness around the businesses on Grand River Avenue between Warwick Street and Outer Drive.
