Bohomodern was conceptualized in 2009 as Margarita Barry’s lifelong dream of launching her own lifestyle brand and vision combining her love of pattern, her passion for travel, and her pursuit of beauty in accessible, everyday objects. She custom designs colorful, whimsical products: posters, tableware, pillows, clothing, stationary, planters, and decor–many with themes local to Detroit. With the help of her seamstress mom, she launched the signature Bohomodern collection in 2011 at 71 POP inside of the 71 Garfield Artists Lofts building. Later that year Bohomodern launched its online store and holiday pop-up shop featuring collection originals, as well as an array of vintage, found, recycled and new homewares, clothing, accessories, gifts, and other objects for women, men, kids, and home.

They’re currently popping up at MASH Detroit.
